Mount Tremblent; Ski Resort Weekend Getaway

Tucked away in Quebec just a few hours away from the city of Montreal is a beautiful resort where  visitors can indulge in an array of winter sports from skiing to dog sledding.  The Tremblent resort also includes a cute little village studded with shops, cafes and bars.  When we arrived, it was unfortunately raining but that didn’t stop the colorful buildings from looking so inviting and lively.       My first time trying Beaver Tails!  It tasted like a thin crispy donut and was delicious with nutella and bananas on top.  Later we stumbled upon a shop selling Maple Syrup and it included a little ice patch for making Maple Toffee.  We were all really curious to try it out! Hot syrup is poured on top of the ice and as it’s about to set, you roll up the malleable sweet candy on to a wooden stick.  Of course, it was very sweet and stringy as you bite into it but a fun experience none the less!
